Fare pricing policy
Estimated ride fare
When route and fare data are available, the booking summary shows an Estimated ride fare, such as an estimated range for a one-way trip or an each-way range for a return trip. It responds to relevant changes in the trip options. Dispatch confirms the final fare and booking details before travel. A receipt records the request; it does not mean a driver has accepted the trip.
Calculation order
The calculation uses the route and pricing mode, vehicle, passengers and extras, one distance-band multiplier, an applicable minimum, any configured night percentage, then airport pickup toll and other final additions. Routes below 12,000 metres use the under-12 multiplier; 12,000 through 20,000 metres receive no distance adjustment; longer routes use the configured over-20, over-35 or over-60 multiplier for their band. These multipliers never stack.
Minimums and night pricing
Current default minimums are $45 for a recognised Sydney Airport pickup, $40 for an airport destination and $38 for other bookings. Dispatch can change these values. If both ends are airport locations, the pickup minimum applies. Any enabled night percentage applies once after the minimum, including on multi-stop journeys, using the requested Australia/Sydney pickup time.
Additional charges and changes
The internal calculation reflects the submitted route and eligible options. Unless expressly included, road tolls, airport or parking access, waiting, cleaning and customer-requested changes may attract a lawful, separately disclosed driver or operator charge. Saved bookings keep a pricing snapshot; later changes to general fare settings do not silently reprice them. Dispatch must provide any revised fare before a pricing-related trip change proceeds.
